Hello! I've not been in blog land for ages as I have been mostly crocheting Christmas presents, and I've been super busy!! I finally made a few cards though, and although my mojo isn't cooperating as much as I'd like it to, I was fairly pleased with this simple thank you card. I hope to get more made for Operation Write home as well, so hopefully will be posting more often. No promises, but I will try!! I have been around to most everybody's blog that I follow, and you're all amazing, but It would take ages to get caught up on comments for all of you! Hope you're all well :)

Good evening!! Tons going on around here this weekend! Handyman just finished our windowsills in the kitchen and they are GORGEOUS! I'm still working on organizing my room...it is a disaster and so hard to get things where I want them! Since we moved last october I lost about 20 square feet in my room and all of my closet space, so organizing has been difficult!!

Anyway, my Giada loooves the blanket I made her to sleep on (thus keeping the cat hair OFF my bed) so now I'm making one for her to sleep on on mom's bed! I must say, this second one is turning out much nicer!! I love it so far! I am about twice as far along now as I was when I took the pics, but I will update again soon! Hope ya like it :D

And of course I've had plenty of "help" ;)

Hello! I am trying to be a better blogger, I really am! I have crocheted a bunch more stuff, but it is always dark, so I haven't gotten any pictures lately! I just have one project to share today, and it is a little blanket for my Giada! She loves it and has been sleeping on it every night, and I am happy that there is less cat hair on my bed!! I only took a picture of it folded, but you get the idea! It is done in a double crochet with a shell stitched border on both ends. I used Caron Simply soft in white, blackberry, and soft pink.Sorry for the crappy lighting!! Hope you like it :D xo

I made a card yesterday! Whee! I felt truly at home with my copics in my hands hee hee, I haven't used them in probably 2 months I guess! An acquaintance of mine is moving at the end of this month, so I am crocheting them a set of dish cloths, and I took inspiration from the red variegated yarn I'm using to make a card to match! I am extremely pleased with it (except where I colored outside the lines, but you'll pretend not to notice, right?)

I am in the process, with the help ~~and nagging~~ of my dear, wonderful mother, of moving my craft table AGAIN, so I won't have any more cards at least for this week! Hopefully I will get back next week and make a few :) Hope everyone is doing well, I finally came around to some of your blogs today! Anyway, I'm rambling, so here's my card! Excuse the poor picture, as I still have my camera batteries sitting in the charger waiting to be plugged into the wall...ahem ;)

Good evening! Soo it has been quite a while since I posted, and it is because I haven't made many cards! I picked up crocheting about a month ago, and have been absolutely loving it! Good morning kids, what a gorgeous week it has been so far! Mind you, it has been raining a lot, but that's ok as long as it is warm!

Good evening peeps! Speaking of peeps, I took my mom to see "Hop" for her birthday a day late. I thought it was cute, but she wasn't too keen on it. Hmmf! It was a beautiful day, but I stayed inside most of it and made a card. At least I was right next to the windows!

Anyway, I made my card with this cute Daisy and Dandelion stamp that I won ages ago! I loove this pink spotty paper, and I even put spots of silver glitter on the swirls. I cut the image out with my newest nesties and added a Martha Stewart flower and a sentiment that my mom gave me that she was getting rid of from her stash! I am entering the following challenges:

SO here is my card. I have used a Stella image and some gorgeous butterfly paper from my stash! Colored with copics, and used MS (larger) and fiskars (smaller) butterfly punches!

Good morning! I hope you are all enjoying your week so far! Ive been pretty lazy as I had a stinkin migraine again Monday, and Tuesday was laundry day, so just colored and watched TV with gran :)

My card today is miss Anya all prettied up for Easter! I Love how versatile some stamps can be! The DP is a little bunny stamp I stamped on white card, then colored it all in. I am entering this in Totally Papercrafts, who want to see buttons on your creation. I hope just one button is ok! Well here is my card, I am off to finish coloring another PI image! Good morning! It is so gorgeous outside! I Hope you all are enjoying weather like this as well. As I am typing this I am enjoying a perfect spring night with the windows open! It is supposed to rain today, but at least it is warm! (It is much more chilly today as I am posting this!!)

I Have been a busy bee this week! It took me three days just to finish one project! Do you know what I did?! I went craft shopping at a place that is an hours drive one way, and while I was there, managed to buy two of the same marker! Yeah, two of the same on the SAME TRIP! Lol so you can guess that several hours of my day yesterday were spent going back to the scrap store exchanging the marker! It wasnt all bad though, I bought more blending card while I was there, so should have enough to last me a while!

So anyway, when I got back from my trip I finished up this little box to put my alcohol ink in. It is made from chipboard covered in HOTP paper and held together with thinner blackboard and my regular adhesive. I put a matte sealer over the seams to make it extra durable (used Ranger glue n seal.) I used my TH die to cut the pink letters, then ran them through my Xyron. Thank goodness I chose paper that helped me line up the letters or I am sure it would have been a mess lol.

I believe today was the last of my scheduled posts for the week of cards, so I will have to get off my bum and get some challenges done! Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope your weekend is amazing whatever you are doing!! xx

I got this cute flapper girl from the lovely Hazel, and have finally gotten around to coloring her. I love the way the girl herself turned out, but the rest of the card is just "eh." SO here is the card, I'm off to work on a little book I started last night! I am just putting some of my favorite images in it with the copic color combos I used. Oh, and speaking of Copics, there is another class being offered at my LSS, and it was soooo my idea!! I am so excited for it!!!

Im baaaaack!!! I have been gone over a month now, I can't believe it!!! For a month I was taking care of my mom, who had surgery on her foot and couldn't walk! Then I was stressed and needed a break from cards after having made one almost every day for the past year! But I'm back now, have made several cards, and made up a wee tutorial. I did! I had a LOT of positive feedback so far on this card, so I thought I'd show how I lined everything up.

SO here is the card:

Don't look at the part I messed up! I promise I didn't do that on the FIVE that I've already sold!! I had put together the white branch layers back in December when I first got the stamp set for Christmas, and I think I was just lucky they lined up properly! I certainly wasn't able to reproduce the centered center layer (heh)

So this here is what I did: First I stamped the branch onto the larger peice.

Then I cut another nestie shape out of some transparent stuff I had sitting there, and cut the smaller shape out of the middle of that. Then I could line up the two rectangles and stamp the smaller one exactly where I wanted it.

Now I have both branches stamped and ready to layer with foam squares.

I then stamped the wee bird and put everything together. I'll spare you those details, as I'm sure you intelligent ladies can figure that out ;)

Good morning lovely bloggers! It has been a while since my last post as I have been taking care of my mom! She had surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon, and can't put any weight on her leg for at least another week, so I am her maid for the time being lol.

As promised, I am getting a head start on my Christmas stuff this year so that I'm not going crazy in December! Here is James Bear in the snow, and a vintagey tag I made :)

I think he is just the cutest bear I have ever seen! I added TONS of stickles, and a little wreath made of some tinsel ribbon I found in the Christmas section at Walmart. I put the teeny tiny bells on a jump ring, and strung it on a ribbon, then used my Bow-easy to tie it into a bow. I would have preferred blue ribbon, but didn't have any in that size! Also realized that the Tim Holtz ink tools work fantastically with memento ink as well :D

Do you remember when you were a kid, playing Nintendo and it wouldn’t work? You take the cartridge out, blow in it and that would magically fix the problem. Every kid in America did that, but how did we all know how to fix the problem? There was no internet or message boards or FAQ’s. We just figured it out. Today’s kids are soft.
More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can’t wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that’s not only better, but also more directly involves me.
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong.
Have you ever been walking down the street and realized that you’re going in the complete opposite direction of where you are supposed to be going? But instead of just turning a 180 and walking back in the direction from which you came, you have to first do something like check your watch or phone or make a grand arm gesture and mutter to yourself to ensure that no one in the surrounding area thinks you’re crazy by randomly switching directions on the sidewalk.

The letters T and G are very close to each other on a keyboard. This recently became all too apparent to me and consequently I will never be ending a work email with the phrase “Regards” again.

How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

I like all of the music in my iTunes, except when it’s on shuffle, then I like about one in every fifteen songs in my iTunes.
Sometimes I’ll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
I keep some people’s phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
I think that if, years down the road when I’m trying to have a kid, I find out that I’m sterile, most of my disappointment will stem from the fact that I was not aware of my condition in college.
Even if I knew your social security number, I wouldn’t know what do to with it.
It really pisses me off when I want to read a story on CNN.com and the link takes me to a video instead of text.
I wonder if cops ever get pissed off at the fact that everyone they drive behind obeys the speed limit.
I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lites than Kay.

So here is my card. I think it could have turned out better, but I just wasn't all that inspired this week, hence the random posts I've had on tools and organization!! My new goodies are the green copics, thank you stamp and butterfly stamps (LOTV.) Everything else is old! So here's your chance to show off all your new stuff, while not forgetting the old stash! getting organized Part 1

So, many of you may have noticed that I was missing during the month or so before Christmas. Most of it was because I was ~~brave~~ stupid enough to make almost ALL of my gifts this year. Ohh yes, that is what took about 90% of my free time (which I really have quite a bit of, if you want to get picky) but I was busy with other things as well. I have been moving my craft stuff all around the house as construction and organization frees more space, so needless to say, my table has been quite a mess! So I have tried to make things as compact and organized as I can and, more importantly, easy to access.

The first part of this was to get my stamps sorted. I am still not finished this project, but my most-used stamps are all done. I put them all in DVD cases that I ordered online. It KILLED me to have to split most of them up from the sheets they came on, but it has been soo worth it as I don't have to dig to get to what I want.

First, I decided how big a piece of acetate would fit in the case while still allowing it to shut properly. Then, for the sheets that were too big, (most of them) I took them all off and tried to get as many as I could on a new sheet:

Next, I cut out the original labels and stuck them with scor tape to the new sheet that I cut to size (about 5x6 inches)

I stamped all of the images in their new layout on two pieces of 7.25x5" cardstock for front and back of the case (don't mind the sucky ink I used)

I then stuck all the stamps back onto the new sheet of acetate

So that I could tell which stamps were in the case without having to pull them out, I also printed a label for the spine, which I attached to the two outer sheets of stamped CS. I stuck it all in the clear cover on the outside of the case, and ta da!

Fabulously organized stamps!! I unmounted my wood stamps and did the same with them. I had several questions about how I did that: Just gently peel them off the block, and add more re-positionable adhesive if necessary. That's it! It has been incredibly time consuming, but definitely worth every second!! I hope to be back soon with another organizational endeavor...I'm up to my eyeballs in things to put away! xxx

1) Ranger craft sheet! I'm sure you have all seen this on the table of Sir Tim. It seemed a little expensive for what it was (it's basically a tough sheet of reusable parchment paper), but I just got it a month or so ago, and it has already paid for itself several times!

2) Cutterbee Titanium scissors. I have both regular cutterbee, and the titanium ones, and these are by far the best scissors I have used. I hear good things about the Tim Holtz ones from Tonic Studios, and those cut metal and stuff, but I have not personally used those.

3) Martha Stewart Scoring Tool. This is one of the many never-knew-I-needed-it-until-i-had-it tools. It is FANTASTIC!! This one has more measurements than the scor-pal, but I hear the new Scor-pal did add those quarter-inch markings, so I imagine there's not much difference between the two now. 4) Xyron. I got one of the tiny ones at a really good price with a gift card, and boy was I ever suprised!! I figured it would just put a sticky sheet on the back, and I'd still have to cut it out. ohhh my goodness was I ecstatic when I learned it only puts sticky where you want it!!!! I fully intend to get this 5" one as soon as I make a few extra dollars! I LOVE IT!

6) Scor-Tape. Oh, how I adore thee! I probably talk about this stuff in my sleep. Sticks to everything, and is available in the teeny 1/8 inch size, all the way up to 1.5"! It's not too expensive, at around $5 for 27'. No more waiting for glue to dry on those itty bitty ribbons, eh? Oh, and I also just read that it is heat resistant :)

7)Papertrey Cardstock. When it comes to cardstock, it's hard to tell which ones are better until you've tried them. I still buy mostly cheap stuff, but for the backs of my cards, I use Papertrey white Cardstock. It is really durable, quality stuff. You can't really beat 15cents a sheet for great stuff! I have used it a few times for stamping, and loved it for that as well. Too bad I'm too cheap to use it all the time O_o If you live in the UK, let me know what the best is over there and I will add it here. Not that many people look at my blog lol :)

Valentine Bear

Good evening! I finished my first Valentine card for 2011. I was asked if I am getting it done early, or have a lot to make! Lol I have just a few to make, as I give them to all of my close friends and family!! I was having a blast making this, as I used all new stuff for it, except the cardstock!! Good morning bloggy peeps!! What a fabulous day, and only one more day until CHRISTMAS!!!! I am still not ready for it aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!! LOL I will be by the end of the day though! At least I better be, as I have get-togethers both Friday and Saturday!! All I can say is next year my gifts will NOT be all handmade! Way too much stress!

Anyway, today is a very special day! It is my Gran's birthday! She will be 36 again this year ;) So I thought I would post the card I made for my mom to give her and enter it in a few challenges!

I embossed the butterflies on vellum, then cut them out and drowned them in stickles. I custom made the ribbon by stamping a heart stamp on plain white ribbon :D I think the rest is self-explanatory. I am off to get ready for the weekend! I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas xoxoxo

Tissue tape!!!

I just got some of the tissue tape from Sir Tim's line of fabulous stuffs, and I LOVE the stuff!! Ohh, I do!! I made a collage with it, and matted it on some kraft CS, then stuck it all to a green base that I made with distress ink. I used the scraps of my collage to make a smaller collage to punch out the butterflies, then inked them with chalk ink and rubbed stickles all over them! Thenn I stamped the sentiment and made it less crisp with more distress ink and tied raffia stuff around the card in a simple knot. I've never made anything of this style really, and I think it kind of blends "my" style with the distressed/vintage look. I quite like the way this turned out, and I hope you do too!

Alright, I'm off to keep making Christmas presents! It's coming faster than I'm getting things done, so have to work just about every waking hour (not that I'm complaining)!!! Hope you all have a great week xxxxx

This one is a definite NON Christmas card, as I needed a bit of a break from all the reindeer and snowflakes! I'm pretty excited to actually be awake at the right time on the right day for WOYWW! If you somehow haven't experienced the chaos, hop over to Julia's blog and see what it's all about.

I haven't been doing much crafting in the past day, as I've been trying to get organized, and was making truffles until now! They're filled with peanut butter cup filling :D

Hmm..on my desk is a wee box that contains "fresh air sticks." We all know I wouldn't smoke, and just keep my fresh air sticks in the cigarette box... ;) Hehe, there is also my old binder of clear stamps (more on that in a sec...) new ribbons, and other bits and bobs!

Here is a pic (a blurry one, sorry) of my new stamp storage. I am in the process of putting all of my clear stamps in standard DVD cases, and unmounting my rubbah stamps. It is saving sooo much room, and I don't even have that many!!

I've been working on lots more, but I will keep it short this week, and hope to join again next week! Hope you all have a great day! I will be staying out of the kitchen today as my mom will be baking pies for thanksgiving!! I'm sure the cat will help her too hehehe ;) xx

Good morning! As I'm posting this on Wed evening, it's been quite a day! I overslept first, but was pleased to find out when I woke up that our shower is finally fixed!! Woo! Then I went shopping for some Christmas stuff. I am very excited to get moving with making some presents!! Tonight I made some yummy chocolates that turned out really well (what??) but I then burnt my dinner! LOL! It was still pretty yummy, it just smells a bit burnt in here now lol. I am definitely better at baking and such than cooking, though it was only a frozen pizza that you pop in the oven! I am off now to go through some more boxes of stuff...I hope I can find my missing ribbons!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. There's been a lot of stress around here lately with everything breaking, and everything being so cluttered and disorganized. We finally got both bedrooms done, so everybody has their own space, and can sleep at night! I just set up my craft table about a week ago, and that has been a huge help in taking my mind off of all the grumpiness around me hehe. Although it isn't my regular craft space, it is better than working from a box on top of my little night stand!! Arghh that was torture! Let me tell you, I am sooo thankful just to have room for my lamp and what I'm working on! I am thinking about moving it all into my room temporarily just so I can spread out a little more until the living room is done. Not sure how much sleep I will get though LOL! I just might make that tomorrow's project! Here is a card I made tonight:

I got a few blog awards this week! Thanks so much ladies! I am not going to pass any along as I don't have time lol, but will post the 7 things about me that goes with one of them!

1. i LOVE getting my hair done! It just makes me feel so good to have nice hair :)
2. According to my family, I am the best baker EVER.
3. I am soooo impatient when it comes to most things, but other times I have the patience of a saint lol.
4. Music is my second passion. I am a sucker for a good song I can sing to!!
5. I have made more friends in the UK than I have here in the states because everyone is nicer over there!! Love you ladies xxxx
6. My phone is glued to my side allll the time. I try not to be rude about it though!! Drives me crazy to see people texting while driving or even walking and running into people!
7. I am BORING! I don't do much of anything...just occasionally have a friend over for movies. I would love to go out more often, but there aren't any good people my age. seriously, we suck!

Hope I've offered some insight into my exciting (*snort*) life! Thanks soooo much to everyone who offered well wishes for the move! We've been here just about a week now, and even through all the construction dust and boxes, I love it here! It truly is home! I very much hope to get some more crafting done this week. There's just nowhere to put anything yet, so the non-essentials are just chillin in the living room still packed up. I'm about to start putting up some drywall myself, as it's taking a looooong time to get things done around here. Ohhh well, I guess it is at least being done right. Here's what our living room looked like last Thursday night....It does look a bit better now, but really it's just more organized lol.

Speaking of getting my hair done, I did just that today while I was waiting on new tires to be put on the car!!! That's the best kind of multi-tasking!!! I am embarrassed to post this here, but I'm sure you will all be asking to see lol, so here is a picture of my new hair!

Good evening! thanks so much to everyone who wished me luck with the move! we got everything in yesterday and had a stressful first night. neither of us could find our blankets lol. the water heater broke so we got the plumber to come just as soon as the movers and cable guy left! thankfully he was able to get us a new one and install it last night. i was so happy to take a shower after a long, rainy day but realized the shower was broken too! our handyman was here so he was nice enough to fix that, though not until later. i just took a bath instead. will be so nice to have a real shower tonight. today we got the food unpacked and blankets, clothes, and all the important stuff. now we need to go grocery shopping...if we can use the oven lol. its still not plugged in. i am thankful to have it even if it isnt operational. there are a lot of things i am doing without until construction is finished. well I`ve been quite wordy lol. hope to have something crafty this weekend. just thought I`d share my story xx

Good morning and welcome to another Thursday! That means it's time for a challenge at Moving Along With The Times, and guess what! It's my turn to host! :D I hope to see loads of you join this week, though not sure if I will have time to comment on everyone!

What a week I have had! On tuesday I touched up the paint in my new bedroom, mowed the front lawn, swept the porch, and helped carry half of our new shed from the driveway to the back yard. It is in lots of little pieces, so not so heavy, but let me tell you, I am BRILLIANT! On the way down our hilly, holey yard, I stepped in one of the holes and sprained my ankle! Great thing to do two days before you have to move, huh?! It's not so bad really, I'm not in too much pain, but it's quite inconvenient right now! lol couldn't it have waited until next week?! Good thing we have movers for all the big stuff. Oh well, I'm sure everything will work out, I'll just be hobbling a little slower ;P

A Copic tutorial of sorts

Good morning!! It took me ages to figure out how to get a decent blended look without having all the proper colors to do so, so I am going to post a wee tutorial on how I color with 2 drastically different shades of a color to achieve the shadowed look. I am not great at coloring by any means, but hopefully someone out there will take something from this! You ready??? Alright, let's start then...

You will need:

two markers (I used G24 and G99)
colorless blender marker
acrylic block or plastic bag

First I colored the bottom half of the image with G24

I then colored some G99 onto my plastic bag. You can use an acrylic block, but it's difficult to clean and I like to use both sides of the bag, then throw it away.

Pick up some of this color with your colorless blender and add the shadows to your image. Using the colorless blender tones down the shade of the color to closer match the lighter color.

Make sure you color off the G99 onto some scrap paper. Then color your G24 onto the bag.

Pick up the G24 with your colorless blender and color in the top of the image, or where it will be lightest. I went over the G99 in this step as well to tone down the brown a bit so it would match better. Add more of your G24 mixture to your image until you are satisfied with the colors.

Color the rest of your image as usual, and you're done! I added light blue stickles to Henry's hat as well.

I was a crafty tornado this morning, and when the dust settled I actually liked what I made!! lol I'm not even sure what I'm doing awake as it is 4:30 on a saturday morning!! My sleep schedule is even more messed up than usual because I've been sick. But hey hey, it's alright; I'm sooo glad to have gotten cards made!!

Hopefully I will stay awake long enough to go to breakfast with my family, then maybe I can convince my mom to take a break and go to the craft store with me ;) We will see!!

Alright, so here's the story: I was obsessing over the adorable new Whiff of Joy Christmas stamp featuring the cute little Henry and his friend Betty. Well, my best friend (isn't he awesome?!) bought me this stamp as a late birthday present just a few hours before I ordered it for myself LOL! So I now have two of these stamps, and was wondering if anyone has anything of comparable value and cuteness they'd like to trade for it?? The stamp is brand new and still in its package, but I don't mind if yours has been well-loved as long as it still stamps well. Good morning!! Hope you are all well. It's time for another challenge at Moving Along With The Times!! Thanks to everyone who joined us for our Christmas challenge; we had a ton of entries!!

I'm finally taking the time to join you fabulous ladies (and gentlemen??) this week! Allergies have me STILL dragging. I've had a massive headache for the past day and a half now, and have just been sleepy for the past month. Bleh!! I'm in better spirits today than I have been, though! It will get better eventually...this, too, shall pass!

Well here are a few pictures of my desk as of last night. I am working on a DT card now. I made my card before we got the images to work with, so am making a new one while my mojo is going strong. I haven't been productive for days, so it feels great to be creating :D

This first shot is of what I was working on earlier. The tree cards I made for an order went over really well, so I made 8 more for the craft show. I did change the backing paper though, as I had a ton of the green leafy stuff.

Next is my brand new copic holder!!! It is one of the best crafty purchases I've made! There aren't as many as it looks like, though I have gotten quite a few! There are about 45 I think :)

Then there's this cute little autumn decoration...I unfortunately didn't make it, but think it's just sooo cute!

Well that's it for this week. I will be busy today putting the finishing coat of paint on my new bedroom! The house is slowly starting to look like a nice little cottage as opposed to a war zone lol! I hope everyone has a great WOYWW. I will be back tomorrow with my DT card for MAWTT :)

Good evening! Sorry I haven't posted my DT card yet today. Allergies and a tummy bug have both gotten the best of me, so have just now gotten out of bed! Am finally awake, and took some medicine, so hopefully will be a crafting machine tonight!

I don't have any cards today...was going to be working on an order I got 2 weeks ago, but I am taking the evening to clean the apartment. Oh my, I don't know what's gotten into me! I'm taking a water break now, so thought I'd hop on here to see what everyone's been up to...I was excited about those cards as I finally have a good idea. I have had some poop ideas- for some reason they really stumped me! It's only a card for crying out loud!! Oh well...hopefully I will get my cleaning done quickly so I can get back to my crafty desk! MAWTT DT card

Good morning, and welcome to another week of fab challenges at Moving Along With The Times!! If you're visiting from the challenge blog, you've already noticed that I was asked to join as a permanent DT member! I said yes, of course!! I am thrilled to be on a team of such talented, sweet ladies!!

Lisa has a wonderful sketch for us this week, along with a theme of "back to school." This can be taken literally with a back to school card, or you can use a new technique on your cards! I chose the literal translation, and here is my card:

Good morning! It's Wednesday again, my how the weeks are flying! I have a few cards to share, and several more that I will post later!

The first card is for this week's Craft Your Days Away challenge of "girly and glitter." I made the background papers with watercolors, and they are shimmery as well! Shame you can't see it!

Materials:

Papers: glitter paper from stash, pink Coredinations glittery textured cardstock, watercolored background papers

Other: colored with copics, watercolors, glitter spray

Here is another challenge card for Penny Black challenge of purple, cream, and brown:

Stamp: Penny Black kitty

Ink: memento tuxedo black

Papers: I think the brown is HOTP. Gingham paper is from a stack I got at Walmart

Other: colored with copics, gems and pearls from stash

This one is an order from my stepmom. She wanted a birthday card for her son's mother-in-law, so this is what I came up with:

Materials:

Stamp: digi I got free somewhere? not sure what brand sentiment is either

Ink: sentiment stamped in memento rich cocoa

Papers: HOTP

Other: colored with copics, Offray ribbon

One last card for this post. I made the background with scraps of paper. I glued them all to a sheet of CS and cut it out with a nestie. I paper pierced holes on the seams, and stitched it with cream thread.

Materials:

Stamp: Inkadinkado sentiment set

Ink: memento

Papers: glittery background is coredinations, not sure about others as they were all scraps!

Other :paper piercer and thread :)

Good afternoon my lovely bloggy peeps!! I might have some cards to post this evening, (well i know i do, but whether I'll get around to taking pics is another story) BUT right now I have to whine! I used to make my 5x5 envelopes out of good resume paper, and it turned out beautifully. Sooo I bought two HUNDRED sheets of the stuff...TWO! HUNDRED! SHEETS! and the stuff is CRAP!!! Ohh my, what a disappointment and a big waste of money! I made an envelope just to realize you could see right through it!! Grrrrrrrrr it makes me want to crawl on the floor and throw a fist-banging tantrum!!

This week I've had a big clean up! It doesn't look like much from the pictures, but I promise, it was HORRIBLE!!!

Here's my desk before:

There isn't any room to work on here hehe. you can even see there's a dead stink bug there behind my tape runners! ughh; that was the first thing I cleaned up!

It's still a bit cluttered, but I have room to breathe!

All this mess isn't from neglect...I've been a busy girl! I have made dozens of cards for a HUGE craft show I'm setting up at next month. Here is a small selection of the cards I've made so far:

Anyway, here's my desk this week. I got several new goodies....If you lovely ladies wouldn't mind, could i get an honest opinion on the card in the lower left of the picture?? I'm not in love with it, but hoping it will grow on me. Maybe it just needs something?? Thanks a bunch in advance! xx

ETA:Here's a closer view of the card I'd like opinions on. It was sort of cased from someone on SCS, but theirs was too busy for my taste. Now I think mine is too plain lol...

I haven't made much of anything lately that isn't for Christmas, so that's why I've been MIA!

This is the worst picture I've ever taken (took it in the dark on my phone) LOL, but just wanted to post a card that I made for my aunt. She got me a sweet initial stamp and some glittery embossing powder for my birthday, so she deserves a special thank you card ;)

What's this?? Oh, I'm actually blogging! Well innit about time?! I know you missed me...(snort)

I have for you several cards today. Yep, real cards, and every single one has glitter! :D

First we have a girl with just the right amount of attitude. I embossed it with the dotty folder, then put glitter on on the dots. Oh look, I even tied a nice bow!! Notice I didn't take a nice picture though. I wouldn't want to disappoint!

Then, you may remember this card I posted last week. I embossed it with another folder, then drew on all the teeny tiny parts with a glitter pen...

...and I liked the card, but not quite enough. So I made another, but made it easier on myself by using the swirl folder instead. See:

Then, because I'm awesome, (just let me believe that, ok?) I took a whole pile of cards to my Gran, and forced her to pick some that she liked. So I brought them home and made a duplicate as identical as possible so that they could be mailed easily. I think there were 6 of them. I'm not going to post them here, because they have been previously posted. One of them was the above card with all those teeny tiny details. She wanted the sentiment changed, but didn't know/care what it said, as long as it was generic. So I had to make two more of those. I'm not complaining. No, really, I was when my arm was starting to cramp, but not now ;)

Alright...after those cards were finished, I made one that was just for fun. It seemed like forever since I was able to do that! And, ohhh the glitter!!

So there we have it! A week of cards... Off to bed for me, as I have to be awake in about 5 hours. I couldn't deprive my followers of some cards for a few simple hours of sleep! See how dedicated I am? ;P

Hehe..I really wanted to post a card today, but can't as my craft table is covered in wet paint and I can't finish said card! I don't know whose bright idea it was for me to build another shelf...hmmf! I had an amazingly productive day yesterday! I went shopping, put all my new stuff away, started a card, sawed, sanded, painted, cooked a great dinner, and got 2 loads of laundry done. whew! That doesn't look like a lot, but sadly, it was for me.
My paint is between coats and I couldn't possibly actually get up and do housework, so I bring you:

WOYWW- house edition (the before pics)

Good morning peeps!! It's time for another WOYWW, and this week I have something completely different to share! If you'd like to join in, go over to Julia's blog and show us your crafty desk, floor, washing machine, garden, or whatever your workspace is!! It doesn't have to be elaborate, just crafty people being nosey and making friends :P

This is the house my mom and I (and our handymen) have been working on for the past several months! Still no definite word on when we will have it ready to move in, but it's getting there. All the spots in the pics are just the construction dust floating around, not actual spots on the walls!

First up, we have part of the kitchen. It looks like a war-zone atm, but I promise it will be pretty when there's drywall lol. It's so bright and sunny in there!

The kitchen ceiling. This is obviously being completely replaced. The wallpaper and paint are all falling off lol. The vent?? It's going too. It's attached to: nothing!

This is half of the living room (minus the spots.) It just happens to be the half in which my craft table is going to go!! The paneling will be removed, walls replaced, refrigerator removed lol. Doesn't everyone keep their fridge in the living room? hmm? You can't, as with the other pics, see how bright and awesome it is in there!

Next is the most important room in the house. No, not the bathroom, but MY bedroom!! This is only a portion of it (minus the spots lol.) It's not huge, but it's a lovely room!! This is the only room with a finished ceiling, as it was moldy from a roof leak that happened years ago, so was priority! My mom is cleverly disguised here by my awesome editing job!! hehe...I would have died a slow, painful death had that picture been posted on the internet :P

Last, but not least: our bathroom. Again, only part of the room, but you get the picture. (get it?!) This room is waiting on a new ceiling before we can finish the tile and paint the walls.

Yep, lots of work to still be done! I don't even want to think about the attic or cellar!! I hope everyone has a great WOYWW :D

I got this new stamp from Hero Arts the other day, and am in love with it!! The card here is for the sketch at Moving Along With The Times. They also have a beautiful flower picture as inspiration. I was all too happy to have an excuse to use my new stamp ;)
I embossed the background with my new embossing folder, then went over the embossed parts with a glitter pen...shiny!!

Just posting an update, mostly because I wanted to see if i could post efficiently using my phone! It seems to be working very well, but will have to upload my pics later as mobile internet is quite slow! I made several cards yesterday using a new hydrangea stamp, and am quite pleased with them! I`d also like to thank (again!) the lovely ladies at MAWTT for choosing me as their winner for last week! I was sooo excited when I learned I`d won! Also, on a not-so-exciting note, fellow blogger Eileen had a seizure last week, then learned her BIL wasn`t doing well and passed away. So sorry I haven`t been around to comment , but if you happen to read this my thoughts and prayers are with you. I do hope you`re at least physically feeling better, and hope to see some of your beautiful cards again soon xxxx Hope everyone has a fab weekend. I should be back this evening with my pictures

It seems I have my days a bit confused this week! All day Monday I thought it was Tuesday, but then I somehow still thought it was Tuesday now! I thought "well maybe Julia got her days mixed up too." But then I figured the 40 people who had already posted their WOYWW couldn't possibly be wrong! Thanks, peeps, for setting me straight lol. So it's decidedly Wednesday now, and here is my desk!

It's about the same as last week, so I'm posting some drawers instead. The first two are self-explanatory. Just punches:

The next oneis my brads and extra adhesives. I also shove my extra plastic bags in here because I'm too lazy to walk to the kitchen every time I need one. Apparently I am also advertising for Scotch :P

Then...what do we have here?? I haven't neglected my fab easel, dear Julia! I have it here with the cards my blogging buddies have sent me <3

I'm off to get a few hours of sleep before I go shopping for a new rug for my room, and some new clothes :D Hope everyone has as fab a day as I'm bound to!! xoxo

Well you may have noticed that I haven't been around much lately. It seems that I'm either really busy, too tired, or just don't have any mojo.

Today I went shopping for some new goodies, and so I had the inspiration to actually use them. I know!! I even took the time to edit my photos!! *Gasp* my cards actually look as if I cared enough to document them properly! How about that! They look sooo much better, and really I have no excuses, nor any idea as to why I hadn't been editing all along! It's especially important since I have really crappy lighting and a really shaky hand. That's a nice way of saying I'm a really crappy photographer :P

Heh heh, ANYway, here are a few cards I made tonight using mostly my new goodies:

This first one I was bordering on hating when I first finished it. It was so bad that I was just going to scrap it and didn't even paste (hehe do they even make paste anymore?) it to the rest of the card! I decided instead to put it to the side as I finished the next one, and when I came back to it I loved it lolol. It's my favorite of the three :)

The second card is a bit different. I'm still trying to decide if I like it or not. It's ok...I obviously don't hate it if I bothered to post it, right? I do really like how I colored the flower, so maybe it will win me over hehe. Eek, I need to change the blade on my paper trimmer!

The third and last card for tonight...I like the idea of it, but the execution didn't go quite right. It's supposed to have all kinds of sparkle, and not supposed to have all kinds of glue smudges. I do like it other than those details, so I'll keep it around :)

I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Yeah, it's almost over, but hopefully we all made the most of it! I have new views on that now, as I was about having a panic attack over the fact that I've lived about a quarter of the average human lifespan lol. You're probably all hating me, since I'm the youngest blogger I know (aside from Georgia!) hehe...Anyway, have a great Sunday being religious or whatever you choose to do on your Sundays! nighty night :*
